How did América become a World power
Due to the economic growth that the United States of America enjoyed from its industrialization, it had acquired a powerful army that proved its capabilities after defeating Spain the late 1890s. It had now acquired some of Spain’s territories such as the Philippines, Guam and Puerto Rico. During World War I and World War II, it had supplied allies with weapons and other materials and it defeated its enemies when it entered the conflict. Economically it has established trade relations with other countries where America has benefited tremendously. As U.S. grew strong, it has asserted its beliefs and policies in international politics. Even though it presently has many problems, the U.S. is still a world power and is very influential in global affairs.
